Process: how a project runs.

Five stages, each ending with something you can check.

Stages

  1. Brief. What the site must do and who it is for. Quote on request.
  2. Baseline. Measured starting numbers, with date and tools.
  3. Build. Short iterations with a live preview, not indexed until launch.
  4. Verify. Accessibility, performance, link and no-JavaScript checks, with the numbers.
  5. Hand over. Source, build instructions, a list of open items and what the site does not cover.

Pre-launch

Until a domain is live, a site can run in preview mode: it is hidden from search engines, shows a preview banner and has no canonical addresses. One setting switches it to launch mode.

Start with an audit or write to the studio.

Build something that can be checked.

W5D Studio builds static-first sites and platforms, with every claim dated and every limit declared.
