Stage 7 of 9, from concept to live.
This is the position on the nine-step status ladder. It is not the share of work completed, and no completion figure has been supplied.
The question
If transistors and other dead materials, arranged in the right architecture, can produce images and sounds, what architectures become possible when the substrate is animal and vegetal cells? The question is architectural: is computation a property of silicon, or of architecture?
What the name means
Biological / Living Computational-Information Architecture. MetaX describes it as a disciplined, decay-aware study of information architecture in living and embodied substrates, with governance built in and every claim dated and falsifiable.
What it is not
- Not a claim that biology beats silicon today.
- Not human-cell research. The exclusion is absolute: no part of the research uses, models or advocates human neural cells or human-derived neural tissue for computation.
- Not a marketing story. The like-for-like efficiency comparison of the "28,800 times" kind is banned as a category error.
How it is governed
It sits inside MacroLifeTech (Meta-X). Governance is the Cloister (scope and ethics) and the Atrium (open review). Document Zero sets out the seven bases; a critical audit retracts or corrects early claims in public; each volume passes a five-step publication-readiness protocol; and publication goes rung by rung, never a whole pillar at once. Every lesson ships with a Limits module and a Bridge lesson.
